The AStA represents the interests of the student body and has a total of three board positions: 1st Board, 2nd Board, Chief Financial Officer.

Together they form the interface of student self-administration and represent it externally. In addition to chairing the AStA meetings, the tasks of the Executive Board also include supporting the departments and monitoring internal processes. In addition, the Executive Board regularly attends the StuPA meetings to report on procedures and resolutions of the AStA. The exchange of information with the Presidium and state policymakers is also part of its duties. The Chief Financial Officer maintains an overview of expenditure in the AStA and in the student councils.
