The Department of Social Affairs provides information to students on social and legal matters. Its tasks include:

• Advice in BAföG matters
• Support of foreign students
• Maintaining contact to other student bodies in Schleswig-Holstein regarding the social situation of students
• Maintaining contact with social institutions within Flensburg and the surrounding area

Current projects of the department are for example the creation of a combi student card and the renovation of two student common rooms within the university.
