Hello everyone,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of us spend time at the Schiffbr\u00fccke every day \u2014 but instead of a relaxed harbor atmosphere, what we currently experience there is exhaust fumes, noise, and unnecessary through traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now there is a chance to change that, but the city administration is blocking progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the official public participation process and the Harbor Delegation (with a 14 to 4 vote!) supported a largely car-free Schiffbr\u00fccke (Variant 3), the administration is now recommending Variant 1 to local politicians \u2014 which essentially means keeping things almost exactly as they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why this concerns us: We are thousands of students living in this city. Flensburg is our home, and we have a right to a modern urban environment and genuine quality of life by the waterfront. If we do not speak up now, the Schiffbr\u00fccke will remain a through road for motor vehicles for decades to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What you can do (takes 2 minutes): Write a short email to the members of the Committee for Urban Development, Environment and Planning (SUPA). The decision will be made on May 12 \u2014 we need to show them that we expect a real mobility transition!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
