Community. Connection. Culture on Campus.
While cities like Kiel and Lübeck have long established campus festivals, Flensburg is
setting a new milestone in 2026:
On June 11, 2026, the first-ever Campus Festival Flensburg will take place at the
Europa-Universität Flensburg – with the clear goal of becoming a recurring annual highlight.
The Vision
Campus Festival Flensburg brings together what belongs together:
Campus and city, culture and academia, engagement and community.
Especially at a time when students and universities are increasingly drawing attention to
structural challenges such as underfunding, the festival deliberately creates a
counterbalance:
a space for visibility, exchange, and shared experiences.
Because one thing is clear: Flensburg without students – and without a vibrant campus – is not imaginable.
The Concept
An open, interdisciplinary open-air festival – created by engaged actors from university, city, and region.
- Entry is free, and everyone is welcome, whether they are students or not
- Live music & open mic until 10 PM
- Studio concert (3–5 PM) as a relaxed picnic format
- Literature & culture, including the release of the journal LiteraSea vol. 5
- Arts & Crafts Market in GOT
- Workshops & interactive formats in TAL 03
- Food trucks
- Afterparty at Kühlhaus Flensburg starting at 11am
Selected program elements will include contributors from the German-Danish border region, strengthening cross-cultural exchange.

The Space
The campus itself becomes the festival ground:
- Main stage at HEL building
- Container areas (GOT & TAL 3)
- Community garden & open spaces
- Food market at TAL 01 parking area
The People Behind It
A dedicated organizing team consisting of:
- AStA members
- Students from various disciplines
- Support from the presidency of Europa-Universität Flensburg
- Partners from the city and the region
Together, we are laying the foundation for a growing festival format that aims to become a
permanent part of Flensburg’s cultural life.
Get Involved & Support
To realize and further develop the festival, we are looking for:
- Funding partners
- Cultural initiatives and institutions
- Sponsors and supporters
